Baltimore City High Point Trip Report
two locations near NW corner of city
Dates: May 30 and June 20, 2000
Author: Mike Schwartz
Southerly area
I visited the area mentioned in Glenn Bock's report. The correct address of the high ground on Glen
Heights Rd. is 6946, rather than 5946. In my opinion, the highest ground within the large 480+ ft closed
contour is at or near the intersection of Reistertown Road and Labyrinth Rd., just around the corner from
6946 Glen Heights. Traffic on Reistertown Road is miserable. Visit off hours or early on weekends for a
more pleasant experience.
Northerly area
This is in the back parking lot of Temple Ohev Shalom, located on Park Heights Avenue, opposite
Charlesworth Avenue. Drive around to the back of the building to the highest ground.
[Webmasters comment: Ohev Shalom is the roman alphabet equivalent for "Love Peace" in Hebrew.]
