Like everyone else, I came at this one from Federalsburg. For those who follow house numbers, the farm in question is #4723 and the Lowry's live there. They grow chickens for Perdue, a common occupation in these parts.

I fear I am like Fred Lobdell and question the naturalness of this point. I strongly suspect it came from chicken barn construction but that means that the original HP was probably under the southwest end of the barn. I will count this county because the alternative, based on the relative flatness of this area, is too terrible to consider.

Cold weather does not eliminate the chicken smell, although it does diminish the pungency.
