I'd made arrangements to meet John Hasch previously. I drove to the guardhouse, got my car searched, and was told to drive up. I wondered why. John was escorted up by a guard. We met and traversed the area. We determined the highest point was a group of rocks that look like it had kids build a fort nearby. A reference marker by the parking lot pointed in that direction.

On the way back down, stop at High Rock and BRING YOUR CAMERA for great views to the Antietam Creek Valley. You'll be able to see the peak itself from the Fort Ritchie Access road leading to Pen Mar Park.
