From the junction of US-31 at Pere Marquette Road, south of Ludington, zero odometer.
0.0   US-31 at Pere Marquette Road - Go right (south) on Pere Marquette Road.
0.7   Chauvez Road - Turn left (east).
1.6   Brye Road - Turn right (south).
2.6   Kinney Road - Continue straight ahead (south) on dirt road.
3.6   Hawley Road - Continue straight ahead (south) on paved road.
4.2   Track on left (east) - Drive or walk this track.
Get permission from the first house to the south. No one was home when I was there.
At the track, you are about 0.3 mile southwest of area #1 and area #2 is another
0.3 mile farther southwest through a saddle. There was a rough road in the saddle
heading north and south. You can probably access this track from Brunell Road.
I checked this out later by driving 0.2 mile south on Brye Road to Brunell Road,
turning left(east) and driving 0.5 mile to a track through an orchard. This may be the one.
The whole area is planted with apple orchards with the occasional pumpkin field,
open woods and hayfields. The first area is near the obvious (but not shown on the topo)
communications tower. The second area isn't easily identified until near it.
I used my GPS unit to get to the proper area.
