Meeker County Highpoint Trip Report

From Atwater, I turned right (south) onto County Road 2, then East on CR 23, then south on MN 4, then east on 220th Street for 1.8 miles, stopping at the point closest to the HP (0.37 mile). I arrived about one minute before sunset. Like most soybean fields in this area, it was almost ready for harvest (except for an area that was replanted). The rows (except the end rows, which I had to step over) were running north- south, so I stayed in the rows past a false summit to the high ground behind it. Walked around the area, trying not to knock the beans off their stalks (just glad it wasn't wheat).
