Todd County High Point Trip Report
two areas on Mt Nebo - one with BM 1511 (1,510+ ft)
Date: October 20, 2001

Like Bob Packard before me, I drove south on US 71 from Wadena and parked opposite the very obvious,
towered, Mt. Nebo, just below a huge wooden cross. The land is not posted, but is planted to corn, which
fortunately had been harvested before my arrival.
Once in the woods, work along the fence line and pick a promising route up the hill. On top, the area to the
southeast seemed to me to be very close in elevation to the BM near the radio tower, and is an easy
bushwhack from the BM. There is an access road to the tower that may be the continuation of a gravel road
that leaves US 169 opposite the north end of the mountain. It's blocked by two easily moved tree stumps
and is signed for a quarry, but seems like the logical start of the access road.
