Dade County Highpoint Trip Report

I followed excellent directions from Dave Covill and Don Holmes to get to this highpoint area. However, once there, I was confused when the report said the high area was near the tree on the south side of the road as that appeared to be in Lawrence County, according to the topo. I made contact with the homeowner on the north side of the road who confirmed that the county line ran behind (north of) his house along a row of power lines. The owner was gruff but once he found out I was from Arkansas he lightened up and told me about how he was born and raised in Searcy, Arkansas. I walked around the back of his property and determined the high area was close to the power line trail almost directly behind the house.
