Taney County High Point Trip Report

From Brownbranch MO go east on highway W through McClurg to the Gladetop road/Forest Road 147. Turn south and go 5 miles to about the Ozark/Taney county-line. I climbed the hill to the south in the near-dark and gridded the top east-west.

This is also one of the eight HP areas for Ozark county. Several other of the possible Ozark coHP areas are located along FR 147 in the 6 miles northeast that you have driven along. For lack of time and maps I didn't visit them.

I had driven the alternate route: From Brownbranch go east on highway W for about 0.5 mile, then turn southeast to gain the Gladetop trail southwest of the Taney coHP.
