Forrest County High Point Trip Report

I accessed Elk's Road or Old Hwy. 49 from Paul B. Johnson State Park, just off US Hwy. 49 and 9 miles south of the US Hwy. 98 intersection. NW about 2.5 mi. from the park is the Elk's/Hatten Road intersection. The HP is adjacent to the back yard of the house on Elk's Road just S of the intersection. No one was home. I turned onto Hatten SW, went ~250 yards to a pasture on the E side of the road. Following this pasture's N fence-line brought me up against the fenced backyard previously seen from the Elk's Rd, at the HP. Spooked deer and wild turkey!
