Blaine County High Point Trip Report
Date: July 14, 2002
Author: Bob Packard
From Chinook, MT went south on CR 529, RD 301, RD 304, then E on RD 304. Visited Ralph Barber
(ranch house on south side of RD 304) and John Schoen (across the road at ranch house north side) and got
permission to drive John's ranch road which we did to 5140 level.
We then hiked up UN 5980, the cohp. We found reference marker for Lloyd BM which we did not find,
probably under the cairn. We also went over and did UN 5555.
This is all in the fairly spectacular Bear Paw Mountains.
Trip statistics: 2.75 hours, 4 miles, 1600 feet of elevation gain.
