Custer County High Point Trip Report
Date: July 10, 2002
Author: Bob Packard
See Jerry Brekhus' report. Found Little Pumpkin Creek Road which is a right turn at a sign listing names of ranches.
At 9.4 miles later is right turn at sign for Liscom Look-Out. At 13.2 miles is a gate. At 14.4 miles is a
gate and Forest Service boundary. At 14.6 miles another gate, at 14.7 miles intersection with Liscom Look-Out road
going south and FR 770 going north. Wrestled my camper another 4.8 miles north, northwest, north, and
northeast to point a little south-southeast of our goal, to which we bushwhacked through field and pine woods.
Cairn and aluminum can "register" with page from Andy Martin's book. Whole hike took only an hour.
On the return drove up to Liscom Look-Out, leg-less and clearly in use. This is apparently highest point in area,
but is in Powder River County. Great views.
