Red Mountain

Take Copper Creek Road off MT 200 east of Lincoln. It's 9+ miles to Trailhead for Trail # 481,
first 2.5 are paved. Fair dirt road. Use Main Line Trail (#481) 5.5 miles,
then Red Mountain Trail (#423) 3.5 miles to climb Red Mountain.
At top is Red BM, wooden pole in a cairn, another nearby cairn and rocks worked into a platform with steps
and 3 of probably one-time 4 fittings that held some of structure.
No register. Rocks are red, looks like red shale with ripple marks.
Trip Statistics: 8.5 hours, 18 miles, 5000 feet elevation gain.
