Richland County High Point Trip Report

I drove southeast from Richey in Dawson county and followed a gravel road to within a mile of the areas for Richland county, but a grass road was posted and I knocked at the two farms just before and within sight of the highpoints. Nobody was home at either, only a male pheasant hanging out in the road at the end of one driveway.

The first home, set back farther from the road, has a handwritten 'park and walk' sign at the end of their driveway, so I could have walked 3/4 - 1 mile one-way and done this one, but I wanted to make sure I got some ND buttes and several miles to a hotel room to stay ahead of the snow and avoid the night-roaming mule deer.
