Devils Postpile National Monument Highpoint Trip Report

The smaller northwestern closed contour at 2,500 meters is higher that the
larger southeastern one. It is a sporty little climb.
I found no register or any sign that anyone had been there.
I did the liner as well and left a small cairn roughly where my GPS said the boundary line was.
That point is slightly higher than the rock dome, but given the line width
and probable inaccuracy I would say that the high point could be the rock dome.
Both should be done.
The area looks innocuous on the map but is a maze of grabens, fins and deadfall.
