Craven County High Point Trip Report
Date: August 7, 2003

This was a scouting trip, due to impending darkness and thunderstorms. I decided to scout the three remote
points north of the bog area. I proceeded through the time of Pine Town on route 1256, eventually taking a
right onto Perjanytz Lane, which appears to bisect the swamp on the topo. The roads ends after a few
hundred yards, with some monster puddles on the trail ahead. Probably not the best approach. Going 1.2
miles further north on 1256, there is a farm with tobacco fields that stretch due west nearly to the hp area.
The three points in that area are tucked into thick pine forest, and looks like tick heaven. I would
recommend waiting to the winter, getting the owner's permission, and taking that approach.
