Guilford County Highpoint Trip Report
unnamed point (1,000+ ft)
Date: August 30, 1997
Author: Fred Lobdell
The unnamed high point of Guilford County is located where the 1,000-foot
contour crosses the west county line. From the hamlet of Oak Ridge on NC 150 in
Guilford County, it is about 3.2 miles southwest on NC 150 to the Guilford-
Forsyth county line. Go another quarter mile southwest and take a left onto a
gravel road. Follow this road south, then east to the county line, which was
marked as of this date. Park here.
The high point appears to be on the south side of the road. Wander around until
satisfied that you have covered all the possibilities.
