Lincoln County Highpoint Trip Report
Buffalo Knob
Date: October 15, 2006
Author: Shannon Dillmore
Previous reports are still valid. However, the road was gated and locked (but
not posted), so I parked in a lot 100 yards northwest and across the street from
the road. I walked up the road until I regained a visual on the hunter's stand,
then bushwhacked towards it through the brush to the summit. It's a bit
undefined, so I tromped around for awhile to make sure I hit the high point.
Nice views from the top.
At the summit, I found the faint, overgrown 4WD road Ron Tagliapietra mentioned
in his report, and followed it down where it rejoined the gravel road.
This saved me some bushwhacking.
Round trip: About 0.8 mile, 120 feet of gain, 30 minutes.
