Yadkin County Highpoint Trip Report
USGS BM Click on Brushy Mtn (1,755 ft)
Date: February 21, 2006

Mike Schwartz directions from November 14, 2000 are good and the summit
description hasn't changed. The road is gated about 1/3 mile up. It is posted
as "Mingo Tribal Land, Millers Creek NC". (I have lived in NC most of my life
and never heard of the Mingo Indians.) Prior to the lake is an unfinished
hunting lodge on the left. Past here, I followed an old logging skid to the fields.
The gravel road that is walked up to the summit can be accessed about
200 yards further down Howell School Road.
One may consider parking here and hiking.
Hike statistics: Distance about 2 miles; elevation gain about 405 ft; about 45 minutes round-trip.
