Bowman County High Point Trip Report

We got to road south of Rhame, ND off of US 12.
Parked near that paved road and hiked west a mile to the west area passing dilapidated 1940's International
pickup on the way to a cemetery stone for Vietnam vet with name Braaten, same name as ranch we had
driven into to ask permission. No one had been home. Back to vehicles.
Tried to reach the east areas via gated (unlocked) grassy road leading to small pond, but ran into a fenced
herd of about 100 buffalo. Further north, found grassy track leading 1/2 mile east and parked. Up grassy cliffs to
table land above going east and south to the other 4 areas along and around electric fenced areas for the buffalo.
Trip statistics: 2 hours, 4 miles, 400 feet of gain.
