Sentinel Butte (3,430 ft)

We located the benchmark on top of Sentinel Butte. A tourist brochure for Beach ND promotes a drive up this butte. The butte has two summit areas separated by a saddle with an abandoned or seldom used jeep road that goes from the communication tower area to the higher benchmark area. A faded old sign posted some land there, but by hiking on the old jeep road over to the other summit I don't think we crossed any posted land.
