Renville County Highpoint Trip Report

I met a farmer who was getting ready to harrow the fields and he gave me permission to wander around with my GPS. You can drive all the way to the county corner on a farm field road from the west but there isn’t any east-west fence to designate exactly where the county turns. The north-south fence appears to be higher to the south but that spot is entirely in Ward County. There is an obvious man-made dirt pile right on the fence line, just to the north of where this field road ends and this appears to be the county corner. The other spot is out in the wheat field about 1000 feet to the northeast and it seems and feels higher than the natural ground under the man-made dirt pile.
