From Pingree, go west on ND-36 for about 20 miles to an intersection with CR-68 coming in from the right (north). Zero your odometer.

0.0   ND-36 at CR-68 – Continue west on ND-36.
4.0   53rd Avenue – Dirt – Turn right (north).
9.0   14th Street SE – Unsigned – Turn left (west).

10.0 52nd Avenue – Unsigned – Turn right (north).
10.6 Park.

Three of the points are about 0.3 mile to the west. The highest is a rock pile seen on the horizon as seen from your vehicle. The land on both sides of the road is posted “No Hunting” so it is best to get permission to hike. You are exposed most of the time you are hiking.

I hopped the fence and hiked the open field to the rock pile (Area #1). From the rock pile, two other bumps (Areas #2 and #3) are barely discernable and easily picked off on a loop southwest and east as you return to your vehicle. Later, I saw a break in the fence at 0.3 mile north of 14th Street and still only 0.3 mile southeast of the high points. Back at your car, continue north on 52nd Avenue.

10.9 Just past a pond and at the high point in the road, park.

Area #4 is 0.3 mile east of here. Hop the fence and hike the open fields to the final high point in the county.
