Stanton County Highpoint Trip Report

These are southeast of Hoskins. Go two miles east of Hoskins on state highway 35,
then one mile south. For the first time on this trip, I had snow
difficulties in getting to the county HP. The northern of the three 1,860+ foot
corn-field HPs was unpleasant in the snow.
From there I wanted to drive the unimproved road south that comes closest to the
other two HP areas. That road is permanently closed. I chose to hike rather
than drive other roads "around the block". It was a harsh two-thirds mile hike
through substantial snow and I tore my jeans on one barbed wire fence.
