On our way back from the summit we met two gentlemen, one of whom told us he was
the owner of the land we were standing on. Apparently, there are a number of
in-holdings in the area we thought was all the town forest. He indicated that
lots of people hike there and his attitude was that he couldn't stop them if he
wanted to.
Bottom line - this is, in effect, public access property.
