Guadalupe County High Point Trip Report

Access is getting tougher. First, I had to wait about 20 minutes for a train that was blocking the road.
When I got to the "unlocked red gate" about 1/4 mile east of point 5987, I found that it was locked.
I tried a number of other approaches, but found locked gates on all of them.
I believe that the shortest approach is now from the locked gate 1/2 mile north of point 5826.
Be aware that it will likely be difficult to find an unposted access route to this county highpoint, though the
signs are in varying states of repair (new "Lobo Ranch" signs to faded or paintless signs that have been
weathering for years). I was unable to determine where one would obtain permission for travel if one's route
were on private property.
