Cookes Peak

This is a nice desert peak to end my trip. I had previously called Mr. Hyatt who gave me two possible combinations for the lock but, after arriving at the gate at 11:30 pm, found that neither worked. The next morning I hiked from here to reach the closed 4x4 road mentioned in other trip reports.

This required about 6 hours round-trip.
