Previous trip reports are still valid. The chained road and the adjacent woods are not posted. I found a reference marker but not the actual bench mark nor did I see Bob Packard's lookout tower.

The second area may be reached as indicated in previous reports or as a relatively short bushwhack from the first area. I refuse to take sides in the spruce/hemlock debate.
