Bronx County Highpoint Trip Report

one area 1,000 feet SW of Riverdale School -- Fieldston Hill (280+ ft)

Unfortunately, the whole high point area is being rapidly clear cut, plowed, and bulldozed. We were there on a Saturday morning and, fortunately, there was no activity but there were 4 tractors and bulldozers parked there. The whole hill is almost completely cleared and very muddy and there is a new foundation already in place. The summit rocks/trees/stumps are still accessible and in a recognizable state. For now, the area is surrounded by the old fence and the gate was hanging open (and signed).
