Ontario County Highpoint Trip Report

It was getting later in the day then I would have liked it to be and the road
and mountain were still snow-covered. With my 2WD, 4 cylinder Ford Ranger pickup,
I sucked it in and drove up the road to the very end. The only reason I
kept going was because there wasn't anywhere to turn around. I got very
concerned as the snow made for a very sloppy, muddy, and deep ruts.
At the cabin at the end there was several 4WD trucks.
No one there as they most likely were out hunting.
I managed to turn around and drove back to where I considered to be the ridge,
although relatively flat, and found a place to park along the road and continued
to the HP. It was getting late and I was concerned about getting out to the
hard road.
