Rensselaer County Highpoint Trip Report

Reports are all very good. Saw a snake on this trip that was about 2 feet long but couldn't see its head, so I was unable to identify the snake. To comment on the numerous ATV tracks, bogs, etc, I came across two young fellows that were taking a break (smoke) and I queried them on driving in the area when it is posted everywhere with "No ATV's" allowed. They told me that, if you have a permit, the trail may be used as long as they stay on the trail. A fter I left them, I soon discovered that they didn't obey the rules as their tracks were all over the areas off of the Trail. So much for a permit.
