2 points on Call Hill (2400+ ft)
From NY 417, go north 4 miles on NY 248. Turn left on Call Hill Road and drive to crest at 6.9 miles.
Park at or drive onto a field road just past the crest. Highest ground is in field close to the field road. The
westerly of the two Call Hill points is visible from this point, on a towered hill. Drive 1.5 miles west and
turn left onto a gravel road leading to the tallest tower. High ground is between tower and tree line to the
east. From here, drive west a short distance to the paved county road 61, Ridge Road, and follow it due
south to the next point.
1 point at Flynn Road and Ridge Road (2400+ ft)
From its junction with NY 417, take county road 61, Ridge Road, south 2.8 miles, to where 61 turns left.
Continue straight ahead on gravel Flynn Road and reach T-intersection with gravel road to right and
grassy path to left. Park here and walk straight into the woods. You will quickly intersect bulldozed
logging roads which follow the low ridge line. Minimal elevation changes from parking spot.
Jackson Hill (2400+ ft)
From NY 36 north of Jasper go west on county 31, which becomes county 63 at 4.1 miles. Turn right
(north) onto North Road at 4.2 miles. Pass junction with Clive Hill Road at 6.1 miles. Colby Creek
Road, shown on topo and Delorme on left just before high point, does not exist at North Road. (It does
extend east from NY 248, and is spelled "Coby" on signs.) At 7.0 miles, park at field road on right, just
past crest. This road leads to the woods, where a short bushwhack is required to reach high ground, about
200 yards in from the main road. An easily negotiable barbed wire fence must be crossed to reach the
high point.
