Tompkins County High Point Trip Report

Alternate directions: From Mecklenberg on Highway 79 (at the junction with Hwy. 228), go east on 79 for about 2.2 miles (this should be about 2.1 miles west of the junction with Highway 397), then turn right onto Black Oak Road, and go about 4.8 miles to the road and tower on the right. The road rises gently until the last part (past the cross road) that goes up rather steeply to the junction road to the tower on the right. The high ground is just south/southwest of the tower, in some weeds.
