Champaign County High Point Trip Report

From the center of West Liberty, drive south on US 68 for 1.15 miles to State Route 507 (Mount Tabor Road).
Turn left (east) on Route 507 and proceed 3.1 miles to the intersection with State Route 245.
Continue east on Mt. Tabor Road for another 2.7 miles to County Road 28. On the way, you will
temporarily jog right then left, but continue heading east. At County Road 28, turn south and proceed 0.6
mile to Bump Road. Turn right onto Bump Road and go west 0.25 more miles.
I parked on the edge of the road somewhat west of a house, and hiked northwest into a muddy bean field.
A small area with modest prominence marks the county high point (40° 13.859' N, 83° 38.927' W).
This is another easy one to visit if you come after the crops are harvested.
