Darke County Highpoint Trip Report

I followed in Bob Packard's footsteps on this one. I also parked a little
further west, on the south side of the road at the edge of where it was mowed.
I then set off more or less due south toward the forested hill, passing through
weedy grass, muddy fields, and small drainage areas. Note that there are stone
weirs in the grass to make the crossing a little easier. At the southern end of
the field, on the west side, you'll see an ATV-ish trail into the woods,
which will then branch. Having no map or coordinates, I explored.
Going to the right (west) brought me to high ground with many old cars.
I then went back to the junction, and took the southerly branch. This meandered
through the woods to another junction, where I went to the left (east).
High ground there as well, heavily overgrown. I then went back to the second
junction and wound my way to another high point of ground, near to where the
land started to clear. Turns out the second point I visited was the true hp.
Map was not essential but would certainly save time and ensure you hit the hp.
