Fayette County High Point Trip Report

Leave Interstate 71 at exit 69 and follow Route 41 for 5.25 miles through the town of Jeffersonville to
Dumpling Hill. Watch carefully for an intersection with Hines Road going off to the right just before you
get there, because this "hill" has virtually no prominence.
There is a nice grey and brick house that sits on the left side of Route 41 just north of the Hines Road
intersection. The owners, Ronald and Donna Sears (15561 State Route 41 NW), were very friendly and
graciously allowed me to stand on the edge of a bean field near a tree stump that is just northwest
of their garage.
I am amazed that this bump was formally named Dumpling Hill. It must be that dumplings don't rise very
much in Ohio!
