Hamilton County Highpoint Trip Report

one area on North Bend Road, 500 feet southwest of Colerain Avenue (960+ ft)

Updated directions to the highpoint. From the south, take exit 18 off I-74. At the end of the long ramp, go left (north) on Colerain Avenue 2.3 miles to the left turn onto North Bend Road. The very obvious "castle" structure is impossible to miss. Just past the castle on North Bend Road, park on the left in the church lot.

The highpoint can also be approached from the north by taking Colerain Avenue about three congested miles south from the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway. I forgot to look for the benchmark shown on the topo at the Colerain/North Bend intersection but did find an ersatz Cincinnati Water Works marker next to the sidewalk between the church lot and the water works property. The whole area has been disturbed so walk around the castle and pick your candidate for highest ground.
