Marion County High Point Trip Report

From the intersection of Routes 309 and 100, proceed north on Route 100 for 2.3 miles to Hurr Road
(County Road 193). Turn west on Hurr and watch for the highpoint out in the field and pasture to the south.
Stop at the white house and barn (9505 Hurr Road) on the south side of the road, just west of the contour.
Christopher and Angela Lee live here and they gave me permission to walk up in the pasture to
evaluate this area. There is a gate in the fence near their barn which provides easy access. There are two
distinct highpoints on top. The eastern spot is in a cornfield just east of a north-south fence, and the western
area is in the cow pasture. After doing some hand level checks, I concluded that the western area is higher.
