Montgomery County High Point Trip Report
one area 1/2 mile W of Archbishop Alter High School (1,090 ft)

From I-675 travel 2.4 miles N on OH 48 to E. David Road. At 2.8 miles, across from WING Radio towers
and offices, is a driveway leading up to a water tank. Turn right (S) onto Acreview Street, just past the
water tank drive. Ample street parking on Acreview. We walked around and checked out several possible
high point locations including areas near the water tanks and at a church on the N side of E. David Street.
We determined that the highest area was in the back yard of a house near the corner of Acreview and
Eagledale Streets. We made contact with the exceptionally friendly homeowner. He was proud to have us
check out the high point knoll and said that for him it was a selling feature of the house. We noted 2 NOAA
Geodetic Survey markers at his back fence line. There is a break in the fence to an adjacent back yard and
the true high point of the knoll, which we touched.
If you want to explore the water tank area, enter through the low gate (unsigned) across from the WING
radio offices and towers. This road brings you up to the fenced tank area (signs, electronic security, etc.).
The squat green tower to the E is the higher of the two; the terrain has been clearly modified.
