From the intersection of US 42 and Route 97 in the center of Lexington, travel west on Route 97 for 0.4
mile to Steam Corners Road. Turn west on Steam Corners Road and drive 2 miles to Denman Road which
angles off to the southwest. Take Denman (County 52) and drive to the top of the hill. Park near the
driveway of Drew Eckert (# 8957) and hike a short distance west out into the wheat field where the high
point of area 1 is located. There are nice moderate views of the countryside from this vantage point.
Return to the intersection of Steam Corners Road and Denman Road. Continue west on Steam Corners
Road for about 0.35 mile. Just west of a radio tower is a prominent rise in the cornfield to the south.
Park along the road near mailbox # 7791 and hike south into the cornfield. The highest spot in area 2 is just west
of the tree/fence line that separates the radio tower property from the field. To the northwest is the
Mid-Ohio Race Course which can be seen from the cornfield.
