Sandusky County Highpoint Trip Report

From OH 18 in Bellevue (1/2 mile SW of US 20), go west on Rd 302/Gardner Road, 1.5 miles to a left
(south) at Rd 302. Take 302 south 1/2 mile to the railroad crossing, and just before the crossing, go left
on a passable dirt road 0.2 miles to a crest.
Park there in front of a large tree. Hike the maze of ATV sand roads NE, descending first, then gaining
the high point ridge. The sand road leads directly to the summit, passing a pipeline marker, which
provides reassurance. Nice view from the top. The highpoint is visible from Rd 302, but this approach
stays out of the fields and out of sight.
