Shelby County Highpoint Trip Report

Used Bob Schwab's trip report. I agree that point three is lower than point two
but easy to hit, particularly when the corn is three inches tall. If it is nine
feet tall, don't bother.
For his first point, I parked opposite the weedy field he described, which had a
nicely graveled pull-off area. I was first struck by the surprising prominence
of the point. There were several 50 degree slopes rising 12 feet above the
surrounding terrain. I quickly surmised that they may not be natural and might
be the result of the digging of the foundation of a house under construction at
that site. Future visitors may be interacting with a homeowner. I thought the
highest area was close to the road.
