Blaine County High Point Trip Report
4 areas (1,890+ ft)

On Highway 3, 13 miles West of Watonga, OK, at the Dewey/Blaine county line, I parked my car at the gate
of the dirt road running north/south along the county line.
I hiked east from a low point in the road, 1.3 mile north of Highway 3 for 0.1 mile to area 1 and walked back and forth
a bit.
I continued north, past a gas/oil well to the next rise and quartered the field for area 2 ending up back at the
dirt road.
Continuing north, I passed the track to the well and to the next slight rise in the road (about 0.3 mile) to area 3,
walking around in the brush a bit.
I then headed NE through brush for about 0.4 mile to the area 4 high point, again stepping on everything
that looked high. I felt that this point was the highest although leveling wasn't conclusive.
I worked my way back to the dirt road and back to the car. The whole loop, including quartering, took me
1 hour and 15 minutes with a total elevation gain of about 210 ft.
