Choctaw County High Point Trip Report

From Hugo, go east on U.S. to Fort Towson (about 10 miles). Just into town, turn left (N) on an unmarked road by a Fina Station. Go 0.3 miles, then turn right on another unmarked county road. Go about five miles to a T-intersection; veer right. Go another 4 miles; watch for a hill off to the left with an observation tower.

At closest approach to hill, see a gravel road to the left. Signs say Sobol Tower Hunting Club or something similar, and lots of No Trespassing signs. No gate.

With permission, hike up road to tower.
