From Cooperstown, take Highway 19/54 north 2.3 miles, then Highway 19 East for 5 miles. Turn right (south) for 2.2 miles then turn right (west) again for 1 mile and park just past a low butte on your right. Hike South to a saddle, then west-southwest up the ridge to the top bypassing cliffs along the way, usually to the left. Near the top, swing right around to the northwest side and then up.

This is probably not the easiest way up this hill but it went. This is butte country with its cliffy steps. We could see the Comanche county high point from here but couldn't see any decent way up its North side.
