Pittsburg County High Point Trip Report
Date: November 8, 2003
Author: Bob Packard
We did this from Clayton, OK. Asking directions there we finally found the Flagpole Road leading north
and west and connecting with Rock Town Road. We drove 10+ miles on these roads to a locked gate.
From there we walked west-southwest along Rock Town Ridge past a log cabin on woods road tracks to
the liner HP (1,530 feet) where the Pittsburg-Pushmataha line (north-south) crosses the ridge
(west-southwest and east-northeast). Walked around and back and forth a bit. No views.
On return we drove out the spur to Flagpole LO and BM (1,844 feet), a summit in Pushmataha County.
Trip statistics: 4 hours, 7.5 miles, 200 feet of gain.
