We left Highway 26 at Buxton, taking Bacona-Buxton Road N, then Bacona Road generally NE; these
aren't always signed, but the route is easy to follow if you have DeLorme (page 65) and the right USGS
quads. We were able to drive past Bacona to intersection marked 1892 on map.
Walked former road N from there, now partially deconstructed and with a natural gas pipeline buried
under it. In 1/2 mile a fresh clear cut appeared on the right, allowing a simple, unobstructed climb directly
ENE to the open summit. Could not find radio towers indicated on map, just smashed chunks of concrete
that may have been a foundation. One hour round trip with some lounging and exploring around summit.
