Wasco County Highpoint Trip Report
unnamed point on side of Olallie Butte (6,280- ft)
Date: August 25, 2005

Reports from Ken Jones and Jeff Macey work fine. The slope down toward the
liner highpoint is steep but goes OK with reasonable care. Use GPS and wander
around until you get hungry, thirsty, or bored. I saw some good-looking use
paths entering the bowl from the east and thought they might afford an easier
route not requiring the scramble down and back up from/to the Olallie Butte
summit ridge, assuming permission could be gotten to hike on the Warm Springs
Indian Reservation.
