Ken Jones's directions from 1997 were spot on as far as I could go. (Added hint: if you ever wonder whether you're still on Oak Ridge Road, just follow the many signs to Yamhill Camp.) When I reached the gate Ken mentions, on the Trask Toll Road, 1/2 mile from where it diverges from Oak Ridge Road, I found the gate locked and signed, "Closed to all motorized access, due to extreme fire hazard." Actually, it might have been all access, not just motorized - I don't remember. Weyerhaeuser is the private landowner beyond the gate. Perhaps a call later in season, to find out if the gate is reopened, could save the next highpointer a fruitless trip.
