Erie County Highpoint Trip Report

I followed Mike Schwartz's and Ken Oeser's reports, except that I drove south
from US 6. From the intersection of that highway with Center Street on the
north side of Corry, go south through town and climb up to a more rural area on
the south side of town. At a "T" intersection, turn left (east) for a few
hundred feet, then right (north) to the height of land on the road, where you
will see the private driveway going to the HP on the right (west).
I drove up the driveway and knocked on the back door but received no response.
The dog is now enclosed in a small chain-link-fenced area next to the garage,
with a dog door cut into the garage so that it can escape from marauding county
highpointers. The dog seemed quite friendly and licked my fingers when I held
out my hand. As Ken noted, the high area is a short distance into open woods
behind the back lawn of the house. I found no fence other than the one used to
confine the dog. There is now a separate driveway to the radio tower and this
would make an alternate approach to this HP.
