Previous directions will get you there easily enough. Nice views from near the old tower area. The blue blazes near the HP are for the Tuscarora Trail (cf Shenandoah VA and Berkley WV) and Big Mountain is the highest point on that trail.

Mountain House Bar and Grill (at U.S. 30) is not too bad.
